the potential of the magazine advert as a marketing vechicle

An effective magazine advert for a music video will allow potential consumers to be attracted by the product. The ironic thing is that a lot of teenagers read magazines daily and a high percentage look at the adverts displayed in the product. Magazine adverts represents ideology, shows connotations, iconic codes, symbolic codes and codes and conventions explored. All of this brings a positive effect to the audience conveying meaning in the advert through costume, facial expressions and body language. A magazine advert for our music video will allow audience targeting as magazines have a high prospective because they are passed along to family, friends, and colleagues. This will again allow a higher consumption and readership unit for the audience.
