On Sunday 28th November, as a group we conducted effective camera shots so that I could take photos during production of the music video. These photos show pre-production and post production of the music video as it represents mise en scene. These photos express the artist's emotions and feelings towards the camera. Most of the footage is closed body language and is seen to all be focusing on the costume/style of the artist. The clothing blends in with the location used as from researching other music videos, I focused predominantly on different types of clothing/costume that would match the setting of the music video. e.g. A suburban/countryside place will reperesent a rich area whereas a gritty place that looks dirty surrounded with graffiti, estates and small roads will be seen as an area associated with the underclass/middle classed people.
Both cameraman Abdullah and Jordan, shoot effective camera shots most predominantly hand held camera. The hand held camera movement is used effectively with a medium shot which shows head to toe and the rest of the location which brings out a good framing. There was a lot of low angle shots which represents the artist as dominant, powerful and superior. There is a continous master shot that allows the artist to express to the addressee what he feels and allows the audience to critically view the situation as a whole.
